Lovely

I always stay in hotels in this area when I come to SF for the location. This hotel was great. Old school charm with an ornate lobby. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Bed comfortable.
Greg, 6-night trip

Old building beds are terrible. Service was good. Continental breakfast was pretty much a joke.

Excellent hotel in San Francisco.

We came to the city for our vacation. We are very happy to stay in this hotel. The staffs there are very responsive and helpful. The breakfast was high quality. They offered storage for the luggage’s, this was a plus for us since we had a late flight after check out. I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends if they are visiting the city.

This is a nice place to stay, with happy hour, breakfast, valet parking. It is a historic building with good size rooms.

Charming Hotel

New manager of hotel, Vince, couldn’t do enough for us. So friendly and accommodating. Older hotel with old world charm. Very clean and comfortable. Daily continental breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese reception. Junior suite was very roomy with kitchenette. No AC but fans were provided in suite.

Property is really nice
Robert, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The area is sketchy. We heard gun shots and ambulances all night long. Getting out of cars at night for valet we did not feel safe. The hotel is older and amenities are scarce but our room was nice- hot showers- good water pressure. Comfy beds and clean sheets. We did find mosquitos in the room but to be expected. Parking is pricey at $57 per night. Continental breakfast was basic but good.

The place was little late about overall. We found it absolutely charming. The staff was super nice is very clean.Every moment's helpful and we really had a great stay. If we do return to san francisco I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone. The area around is not so great. But when you step through the doors, it is clean when I felt safe. Breakfast was served, it was simple, but it was fresh and everything tasted good. Our room had a kitchenette and a murphy bed, which was perfect for us.I really thought this was a nice place to stay.I love the high ceilings and the extra hot water as well as the jedi.Tub which was a surprise.
Aaron, 3-night trip

Good location.
Cameron, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good, but rooms need a once over.

Hotel is landmarked and the building is pretty but the place is older. The rooms are older and could use a refresh. It’s posturing like a fancy hotel (putting items in the tiny mini fridge but charging for them) but they don’t have electrical outlet covers in some places. The rooms are small, one person who doesn’t mind minimalism it was fine. The bed was comfy and the location was good for where I needed to be. Breakfast was just enough and I would stay again.

Love Beresford arms hotel
Robert, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very comfortable and clean. Staff was not that friendly though. They were short tempered and impatient. We arrived really late and the person at the front desk was rude. Requested two rooms next to each other and ended up on separate hall ways. The Next morning the person was also not very friendly. Breakfast was very slim. Costco bought breakfast bars, very small variety of pastries and no cold water to drink. Only apple juice and coffee/tea. The valet was very slow.

The staff was great!! I loved the services they had to offer like valet parking and heir cheeses, cracker, and wine time in the evening. The hotel room itself was also above and beyond. Loved the layout and how the room was stocked with dishes. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Beresford was an old downtown hotel, but clean and well staffed. One old slow elevator but it functions. Breakfast was simple but tasty with fresh rolls, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, juice and coffee. Staff were friendly and responsive to needs and requests.

Great location and room. Breakfast was less than expected and not really bfast.

Super
Valeria, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Not worrh $200 a night

The hotel had charm but definitely outdated furniture that was poor quality. The floors were dirty in our room. It looked as if the room service only wiped down the room and not clean it. There was so much dust, including under the beds. The outside of the toilet was filthy, and there were stains on the furniture. If its wasn't for the charm, it would have made this experience awful.
Heather, 1-night trip

Everything I had hoped for in a hotel. Historical, clean furnished nicely and we have a huge room. I highly recommend a stay here. We are off to explore the city.
