A grand old lady all dressed up with nowhere to go

Beautiful looking hotel - a grand old lady all dressed up. However, once you ooh and ah over the fabulous looking furniture and drapes, that’s it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable - you can feel the springs when you sit down. The bathrooms are freezing. The shower is over a narrow bath which one has to clamber over to get in. If you had any kind of age related problem with your legs it is downright dangerous. If you do manage to navigate the clambering, you will soon discover the water pressure is terrible and it is very hard to get a full satisfactory shower, because it’s so hard to turn around in the bath. The towels are big but very thin. Breakfast was okay.
