Very nice but undergoing renovation

Saltsjöbaden is a fantastic place to visit, beautiful scenery with touch of the archipelago. However, Grand Hotel is under major renovation which we immediately marked upon arrival. It would have been good to know in advance for setting expectations. We found it basically remarkable that so much was still undone at the beginning of the summer season. All respect for the need to renovate, but it was really too much. Particularly inside in the hallways. Hotel employees showed a great deal og understanding and we were actually upgraded to a very nice room (although the WiFi didn’t reach it). I know the hotel will be even more fabulous after the renovation. Looking forward to come again.

Det tog (vÀldigt) lÄng tid att checka in och ut men annars var det bra, jÀttenöjda med vÄrt Lux-rum verkligen! God mat i paviljongen! HÀrligt spa med flera uppvÀrmda utomhuspooler och jacuzzi, verkligen vÀrt att lÀgga till i sin vistelse!

Uns war bewusst, dass das Hotel gerade renoviert wird. Aber dass es im Zimmer mit Blick auf die Baustelle keinen Kasten oder sonstige Möglichkeit gab, die WĂ€sche zu verstauen, den Koffer außer auf dem Boden abzulegen bzw. der fast manngroße Spiegel einfach an die Wand gelehnt war und somit ein Sicherheitsrisiko darstellte, können wir nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Das einzig Positive war das reichhaltige FrĂŒhstĂŒcksbuffet.

Beliggenheten/Omgivelsene er helt fantastisk. Hotellet er under oppussing bÄde inne og ute. Her blie det enda finere nÄr de blir ferdig. Lett Ä komme seg ril Stockholm sentrum med buss. FÞr vi bestilte opphold fikk vi med oss at barn under 16 Är ikke fikk tilgang til spa. Vi reiste pÄ tur med to barn pÄ 11 og 15 Är. Det er vanskelig Ä skjÞnne at de kun hadde tilgang til bassenget mellom 08:00 og 11:00 - altsÄ mens det er frokost. For dette koster det 250,- per barn. Dette kan ikke kalles familievennlig

Vistelsen blev tyvÀrr inte som vi hade tÀnkt oss, rummen Àr i vÀldigt dÄligt skick, smutsiga fönster, dÄliga sÀngar och överlag vÀldigt slitet, renoveringen dom gör behövs verkligen. Frukosten höll en lÄg standard, saknades lite frukter, bröd och goda juicer. Hotellet kommer förmodligen att bli superfint och frÀschare men hade avvaktat att bo dÀr tills det Àr klart.

En överlag trevlig vistelse med nĂ„gra förbĂ€ttringsomrĂ„den Vi hade en i stort sett bra upplevelse pĂ„ hotellet. Personalen var mycket trevlig och hjĂ€lpsam, och servicen överlag höll hög standard. Det mĂ€rks att de anstrĂ€nger sig för att ge ett bra bemötande. TyvĂ€rr drog rummet ner helhetsintrycket en del. Det lĂ„g i kvĂ€llssol och nĂ€r vi checkade in var persiennerna inte neddragna, vilket gjorde att det var vĂ€ldigt varmt – uppemot 29 grader. Det blev en svĂ„r natt att sova pĂ„ grund av vĂ€rmen. Korridoren utanför vĂ„rt rum var dessutom nĂ„got sliten och luktade inte frĂ€scht pĂ„ morgonen, troligtvis pĂ„ grund av matlagning frĂ„n frukostköket i nĂ€rheten. Spat var helt okej – sĂ€rskilt utepoolen med utsikten över skĂ€rgĂ„rden, som verkligen var en höjdpunkt. Sammanfattningsvis ett hotell med potential, dĂ€r servicen sticker ut positivt men dĂ€r vissa detaljer behöver ses över för en Ă€nnu bĂ€ttre gĂ€stupplevelse

Das Hotel wird zur Zeit umgebaut, was wir leider erst nach erfolgter Buchung erfuhren. So stand vor unserem sehr schmutzigen Balkon das ganze Baumaterial. Das Zimmer war schön und modern renoviert, aber es gibt keine KleiderschrĂ€nke, lediglich wenige Garderobenhaken mit KleiderbĂŒgeln. Als wir nach StrandtĂŒchern fragten, war die Receptionistin nicht gerade hilfsbereit.

Vackert hotell med stor potential – men servicen behöver förbĂ€ttras Vi bodde nyligen pĂ„ detta hotell och överlag Ă€r det en mycket vacker anlĂ€ggning med fina omgivningar. Hotellet hĂ„ller hög klass i form av miljö och matens kvalitet var genomgĂ„ende utmĂ€rkt. DĂ€remot saknades det genomgĂ„ende den dĂ€r lilla extra touchen som gör helhetsupplevelsen komplett. Ett exempel Ă€r en rĂ„biff för 285 kr som serverades helt utan kĂ€nsla för presentation den sĂ„g tyvĂ€rr mer ut som en hamburgarpuck eller "hundmatsbiff" Ă€n en elegant förrĂ€tt. För det priset förvĂ€ntar man sig mer omsorg och finess. Under vĂ„rt restaurangbesök mĂ„ndagen den 16 juni runt kl 15 noterade vi att cirka Ă„tta personer ur personalen stod samlade vid baren, samtidigt som vi var de enda gĂ€sterna i lokalen. Trots detta fick vi ingen kontakt, ingen som stĂ€mde av maten eller frĂ„gade om vi ville bestĂ€lla mer att dricka. Samma sak skedde pĂ„ kvĂ€llen trots fler gĂ€ster och halvfull restaurang satt vi i över 15 minuter innan nĂ„gon tog vĂ„r dryckesbestĂ€llning. I spat verkade endast en person arbeta, vilket ledde till lĂ„ng vĂ€ntetid bĂ„de för att boka, bestĂ€lla och fĂ„ hjĂ€lp. Receptionen var likasĂ„ underbemannad, vilket resulterade i lĂ„ng kö vid incheckning. Försök att nĂ„ hotellet via telefon bĂ„de till spa och reception besvarades inte vid upprepade försök. Hotellet har stor potential med sin vackra miljö servicenivĂ„n drar tyvĂ€rr ner helhetsintrycket. Mer nĂ€rvaro, engagemang, bĂ€ttre bemanning skulle det kunna bli en fantastisk upplevelse

Bra tema typ av mat, klassiskt och vÀllagat men obefintligt med garnetyr/ finish pÄ rÀtterna och smakerna sitter inte riktigt med tanke pÄ klassen pÄ hotellet och lÀget mm! Torr citron till Skagen. Typ gÄrdagens jordgubbar i desserten. Helt smaklösa rabarber i samma dessert och tuggig gele av nÄt slag! Vin & service riktigt bra! LÀge/ design 10/10 Lite trÄkigt frukost , höj hotellpriserna och höj standarden Àven dÀr! Man Äker inte till Saltsjöbaden för att fÄ 7/10 eller bo billigt
