Ski Trip

Overall a good experience. I can’t get used to the double beds that aren’t really joined together. Pool and sauna areas were excellent. Food was expensive. Lots of families enjoying the school holiday.

Though you pay €168 a night, you are not granted access to the swimming pool unless you buy the spa-package which then gives you access. This is somehow silly as one should be able to swim without entering the spa but the hotel does not care. No tea or coffee available in the room, no room service. In short it is more like a hostel than a hotel.

The hotel operates like a factory: way too little personnel to address the needs of customers. The dining options are not really options: over-priced buffer or an a la carte restaurant which does not take any table reservations. We got tired of waiting and simply drove to another place to have dinner. The rooms are not cleaned every day (not even towels replaced which is strange as the hotel focuses on sporting).

Samoin otettu kÀyttöön isojen kaupunkien tapa rahastaa pysÀköinnillÀ, vaikka paikka on syrjÀssÀ ja ulkona. YmmÀrtÀisin, jos pysÀköinti olisi hallissa.

En ole koskaan yöpynyt missÀÀn missÀ huoneet ovat olleet niin siistejÀ. Vaikka miten katsoin joka soppeen ja nurkkaan niin ei pölynhiukkasta. Samoin oli allasosastolla. Suihkut, wc, siis aivan kaikki tilat todella puhtaat jopa kaakelin vÀlit. Suurena miinuksena pidÀn ravintolan pöytiÀ joiden lakkapinta on mennyt tahmeaksi ja antaa likaisen olon, on kuin pöytiÀ ei olisi pyyhitty kunnolla. Ruoka oli hyvÀÀ. 15.6 ollut kokki oli selkeÀsti pizza kokki ei perehtynyt miten lihaa kÀsitellÀÀn. 13 ja 14 iltana oli kokki joka hallitsi kaiken ja hÀnen kÀsissÀ hiiligrilli pihvi oli suussa sulava. Vaihdoin aikanaan pois Holiday clubilta koska Suomessa sekoiltiin varauksissa ja henkilökuntan epÀystÀvÀllisiÀ, olin silloin kantaasiakas ja matkustin ympÀri maailmaa. Vaihdoin Cumulukseen missÀ kaikki sujui hyvin, mutta tÀmÀn kÀynnin perusteella olen valmis tulemaan kokeilemaan muitakin Holidayn hotelleita. Jos ovat yhtÀ tasokkaita kuin VierumÀki niin nÀette minut ja muun kokousvÀen hotelleissanne. MeitÀ oli Lahdessa vaatimattomat 1400 henkeÀ + media.
