We enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful hotel. The view from our room of the Douro river was amazing. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had an absolutely delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. The hotel location is perfect; the waterfront, wineries and the town are all within walking distance. A perfect stay!

Perfect spot in Pinhao to explore from. Reception was brilliant and accommodated holding our bags until the room was ready. They provided early check in so we could enjoy the afternoon at the pool. Every staff member was courtesy and welcoming.

Huge but ageing wine country resort with massive rooms and tired furnishings that had all seen many better days. Service non-existent and although one Porter was very helpful, other staff were consistently uninterested or resentful of visitors. No in-house dining other than buffet breakfast and little outside dining options available. What appeared on the website was a luxury resort but we were very disappointed and we would not recommend.

The property is lovely. Could use some updating. Got stuck in the elevator but it was quickly resolved. Our suite was large and comfortable. Removing the carpet and putting in wood floors would make it feel fresher and cleaner.

I highly recommend The Vintage House to anyone who is staying Pinhao. It is a lovely property with great service, very clean, good food and ambiance. We had an early train and since we didn't have time for breakfast, they provided a bag lunch for us that included sandwiches, croissants, pastries, an apple and water; perfect! All in all, a great experience!

The property is beautiful, with a fantastic location and a room offering a lovely river view. It’s conveniently situated for river tours, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The entire place was well-maintained and spotless. The only drawback is that it’s a bit pricey.

As a Gold Member we were entitled to a bottle of wine from the hotel, but the strict woman in charge of the reception said NO, she never heard of it. She demanded to see our confirmation and upon showing it to her, she still refused. After a couple of hours, a friendly colleague of her brought us a bottle og wine. All the rest of the staff were nice. The room was ok with view of the river. Breakfast did not have a lot of options but was ok.
