Great place that takes you back in time.
Everyone was super friendly and helpful. It was super close to the Sand dunes and had everything we'd need for a short or long trip. I was very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

Great family stay in Death Valley
We had a fabulous 1-night stay here. It's in the middle of Death Valley, 5 mins from dunes, and has a great general store. The restaurant was good and the pool is a bit basic, but refreshing. The room was very clean and decorated nicely.

Recently updated rooms, nice authentic ranch. Staff at the reception not as welcoming as previous years. The lady at the breakfast restaurant is very nice and gives this place a warm touch. Every time we stay the pool is close for the maintenance in the morning.

The layout of the property was very confusing. But the AC worked great. The buffet breakfast wasn't that good for the price. Staff was great.

Good place to stay for the price
There are only 3 hotels that are located inside Death Valley National Park. The Stovepipe Wells hotel was a good place to stay for the price. It was the most economical of the three hotels.
The bed was comfortable. The A/C worked. And the room was clean.
There was a breakfast buffet for under $20 with tip.
The pool was clean and had a good supply of pool towels available.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The hotel is clean, well maintained, nicely decorated with rustic charm and attention to detail. We ate at the restaurant three times, twice for dinner and once for the buffet breakfast before checking out. The food was delicious, the service wonderful, and reasonably priced. Thank you!

There are not many options for staying inside Death Valley and this one is cheaper than ones at Furnace creek though almost 25 miles away but a good one. Very close to Sand dunes. Also you can enjoy night sky and star gazing. This one has dining options as well...

Overall ok, direct in the NP
Overall ok. No coffee maker in the room. Rooms are poorly soundproof so that you hear everything from the neighbor room.

Comfortable stay in Death Valley
Stove Pipe is overseen by National Parks so the basic standard is good. There is a nice pool. Restaurant food is reasonable. Decent breakfast is 15 dollars plus tip. Company store sells soft drinks. Coffee and sandwiches. No coffee maker in room, limited coffee in Recepton.
Room. Comfortable, clean and cool.
Remember you are in the middle of nowhere. Car essential
Stars lovely.

A Pinacate Stink Bug Greeted Me From My Pillow
A bad threshold gave free reign to these stink bugs to come and go as they pleased. One was on my pillow upon initial entry! I killed 6 of them before going to sleep. My son killed another, stepping on one in the dark. The threshold was missing the plastic seal. Would be a simple fix.

Room was nice and spacious. Pretty reasonable stay. Restaurant had a limited menu but food good. Tried the Wagyu burger and it was a bit dry for a Wagyu burger. $$ Was hopeful. Reasonable breakfast buffet. Down side was no coffee in room or microwave. Couldn’t heat up leftovers from the restaurant. Would stay again.

Don't believe the claim that they have wifi. F
Very disappointed that they tout internet, but none of the rooms have it. Plus, their internet security is 5 generations old. They know it's an issue but don't mention at booking or checking in. The staff did say its been an ongoing thing for weeks and weeks.

We paid for a Premium King sized bed and were told a Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel they had not received our reservations from Expedia. They had no record of our 2 night stay. All they had available was a tiny room with a tiny double bed. The room faced the main road. It also had the communal fire pit right outside the door. The room and property was clean. The room was just old, tiny and not what we paid for. We were also told we were the 2nd couple to check in that day that had reservations through Expedia that the Hotel did not have reservations for. Not fun if you’re in Death Valley where there aren’t options on the weekend. Be sure before you leave on your trip to screen shot your reservation number and info. We haven’t got our money back yet.
