Red Awning is not a company I want to use
I always use Hotels.com to find a property. I saw this studio apartment on hotels.com and it was only after I applied and paid my deposit that I got a receipt from Red Awning. I had never heard of Red Awning before this. All further communication came from Red Awning. My trip to Jersey City never showed up on Hotels.com. Red Awning said they would send check in details 5 days before. The email came the day before. The day we arrived, the road was closed. Red Awning said they were not aware of this. How come house keeping didn't notify them? The key codes for the locks did not work. We spent an hour and a hour on the front porch calling them and then waiting for text messages for their response. I feel that it was only after I said I was going to call the police and report that we were victims of fraud, that someone finally called us by phone. They opened the doors remotely. However, when we tried to bring up our luggage, the codes would not work. Finally we were given new codes that worked. The stairs leading to the unit were broken on several steps. I feel it is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Another step broke while we were there. There were 3 adults staying. We were given 2 bath towels, one face towel and 1 threadbare washcloth. I bought a set of towels from Walmart. There were no linens for the pullout couch. There were no table and chairs to eat at so the three of us hand to stand in the small kitchen to eat breakfast. The tv kept sending us to sign in with Disney +. NoTV
