Just got back from my fourth stay at this hotel. I always pick this one in Stockholm as it is the perfect location for Arlanda Express, Central Station and easy to reach other areas on foot. Staff are lovely and accommodating and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great too with lots of options

The hotel was ok - the rooms were clean but very very small and I personally found it too claustrophobic for 5 days. You only got your room cleaned and fresh towels if you asked for it. Breakfast was lots of lovely food - a bit of a bun fight I’d say ! Not my cup no of tea but ok if that’s what you want. Very expensive for what it was and I was glad to be leaving this morning.

Very conveniently located centrally for easy access to public transport and the express train to and from the airport. Hotel is of a good standard but they do not clean your hotel room unless you request. Even when we requested, this was not done. This was the biggest problem we had.

Great place to stay

Arriving in Stockholm on the Arlanda Express, this hotel is a 10 minute walk from the central station. We stayed for 4 nights in July and found it to be an excellent stay. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful whether they were printing off Power of Attorney documents for my wife to sign or opening the in-room safe that my wife managed to disable with our passports inside it on the night before checkout. (Note that the safe is a bit small and not big enough for a laptop). Hotel staff all speak much better English than my Svenska. Breakfast area has everything you will need but does get very (very) busy between about 8am and 9:30am. Coach load of American tourists during our stay all ate at the same time - they have a bus to catch! We ate out in the evenings as the hotel restaurant choices are a bit limited, but there are a enough alternatives in the immediate vicinity to make up for it. It's a little outside the main tourist area which means it's quiet in the evenings but not much public transport nearby so be prepared for a bit of walking when you have things to do. Waking to the docks to catch a boat to the archipeligo takes about 25 minutes (including the wife stopping to take photos.) We loved the Scandic Grand Central and would stay again even if only because of it's closeness to the train station. But it has more to offer than just that.

Hotellets felles toaletter ble benyttet både på ankomst og avreisedagen. Disse var IKKE tilsett av vaskepersonell. Det var tomt for papir, toalettene var møkkete og gulvene våte. Jeg forstår de som vasker har mye å gjøre med å gjøre alle rom klare da det er et stort hotell, men siden man også må ha kode for å komme inn på toalettet og det da bare benyttes av hotellets gjester burde de hatt vaskepersonell innom der flere ganger pr døgn. Det burde også bli vasket av bord mellom forkostgjester da noen gjester søler og griser ved bordene. Tok også lang tid ved frokost før fat og drikke ble fylt på. Betjeningen virket lei av jobben. Bortsett fra dette negative har hotellet mye bra å by på. Fine romslige rene rom! God frokost og hyggelig betjening ved resepsjonen. Veldig bra beliggenhet.
