I usually never write hotel reviews, but in this case I feel the need to – because I don’t want anyone else to fall into the same trap.
This hotel advertises itself as a spa hotel, but when I checked in at 5:00 p.m., I was told the spa was already closed and wouldn’t reopen until the next morning. That makes absolutely no sense. Most guests want to relax in the spa after a long day, not in the morning. The spa was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, so this felt like a bait-and-switch.
I paid 1,300 DKK for one night – just for one person – and that didn’t even include spa access. That is by far the most I paid for a hotel during my three-week holiday, and none of the other hotels came even close in price – or in disappointment. Every single other place I stayed was better in every possible way.
The room was small, outdated, and far from comfortable. It had a musty smell, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor, especially when the water was turned on.
Unless you are absolutely forced to stay here, I strongly recommend booking somewhere else. It’s hugely overpriced, outdated, and not at all what it claims to be.
