This is an amazing hotel for exploring Venice, to be able to take time out during the day to relax was just what we needed. We also left our bags pre / after check in / out which made further exploration easier. The view of the canal, the sounds, the smell of the ocean all bonuses. The beds were really comfortable. Lovely hotel, room was beautiful. Was initially concerned when there were no curtains. As I’m a light sleeper, was worried about light coming in - but it was fine. I did find the room a little cold, my husband found it hot! But the room was gorgeous. We stayed in the deluxe conte. It had a lounge area, the bathroom was huge. Fantastic shower - the room also has wardrobes / hob / sink tucked away. I would stay here again. The breakfast was also very tasty and all staff we met were very friendly. It made our first time in Venice really special. The location was also perfect.

The place was so spacious with a great view and the bathroom was amazing with towel rack warmers.

The rooms are very old and does not have a fan or A/C. We traveled in January but the room was very Hot when we arrived. The only way to cool it down was open window and then it was Very Noisy. The garbage boat arrived early in the AM. It is not a handicapped accessible hotel. Lots of stairs. We had to switch rooms after night one because the shower drain was clogged and could not be fixed quickly. Entry into the Hotel by water taxi was great but when arriving by land it is very dark and in an area with limited people traffic and it felt a bit unsafe. This property does have easy access to many of the popular sights of Venice. Food and Drinks were great. Staff was also nice, but at times they were hard to reach. The price was good but, I would not stay here again.
