More akin to a Guest House, this small hotel offers a superb location for a relaxing break with beautiful, empty, sandy beach just a few meters away. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Rooms vary but ours was air conditioned; basic but comfortable, this is not 4* accommodation but there again, you are not paying 4* rates. Free WiFi is provided but does come and go and is never high speed so don't expect to be streaming your favorite TV shows. Food is good value and we enjoyed everything we tried. The train... does run past the front of the hotel between it and the beach. If you are in one of the beach view rooms you will hear the train as it passes. We didn't find it a problem, trains pass several times a day but this is not a half-hour service. Speaking of the train: it is an absolute must to take a trip to Galle by train for a day. If the train journey itself doesn't make it a great day out, a Tuc tuc tour of Galle and lunch in the Fort will. Sakun, the hotel manager, will gladly arrange day tours; we had a long day out to Kandy. Car was new and comfortable. Driver was very good by Sri Lankan standards!
We loved our stay.
